The seventh and eighth graders know that they are being watched by the younger ones and take responsibility for being good leaders and role models. The younger students form the idea of what they will be and do when they get to those upper grades.<BR/><BR/>Most of my experience is in Catholic schools, where the K-8 model is standard. It was wonderful. I got to see the 'tough' kids care and nurture these young children.
